ISTE 4 Students use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems by creating new, useful or imaginative solutions. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.RP.A.1 Compute unit rates associated with ratios of fractions, including ratios of lengths, areas and other quantities measured in like or different units. Essential Question: How do we use math to help our designs? Bell Ringer: Go to Google Classroom and complete the bell ringer. Activity: In this project you will use the Golden Ratio to design a sculpture that will be constructed out of papercrete. They finished sculptures will be combined to create an installation art piece that will be placed in the main hallway of the school. Using the links in the iTunesU course learn more about the Golden Ratio and how it is used in design. Using the information you have learned about the Golden Ratio, design a sculpture that fits the following constraints.
For Design stage you will be required to turn in a brainstorming sketch page. The page should follow the constraints below.
