ENGR-STEM3 – Students will design technological problem solutions using scientific investigation, analysis and interpretation of data, innovation, invention, and fabrication while considering economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability constraints.
(a) Demonstrate fundamental principles of design. (b) Design and conduct experiments along with analysis and interpretation of data. (c) Identify and consider realistic constraints relevant to the design of a system, component, or process. Essential Question: How do we design something we have never built before? Bell Ringer: Go to Google Classroom and complete the bell ringer. Activity: Today we will begin work on the catapult project. Check in Google Classroom to see what group you will be working with. Also, you will find the list of materials you will be given to build your catapult. You will be required to have a complete design and cut list before you are given your materials for construction.
