Standard:
ENGR-STEM3 – Students will design technological problem solutions using scientific investigation, analysis and interpretation of data, innovation, invention, and fabrication while considering economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability constraints. (a) Demonstrate fundamental principles of design. (b) Design and conduct experiments along with analysis and interpretation of data. (c) Identify and consider realistic constraints relevant to the design of a system, component, or process. Essential Question: Come up with new ideas? Bell Ringer: Go to Google Classroom and complete the bell ringer. Activity: By now you should have a complete prototype sketch. Based on this sketch you group is going to build several prototypes of your design ideas( 1 per person). You will be making them out of paperboard(cereal boxes). Each prototype should be testable. Once we have built and tested your prototypes you will decide which ones you need to kill. By the time we are finished with this we should have our survey data back and can begin the final design process. Exit Ticket: How do we get our product to the consumer?
