Standard: ENGR-STEM3 – Students will design technological problem solutions using scientific investigation, analysis and interpretation of data, innovation, invention, and fabrication while considering economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability constraints. (a) Demonstrate fundamental principles of design. (b) Design and conduct experiments along with analysis and interpretation of data. (c) Identify and consider realistic constraints relevant to the design of a system, component, or process. Essential Question: How do we learn new skills? Bell Ringer: Go to Google Classroom and complete the bell ringer. Activity: Today we will begin work on the Golden Ration installation art pieces. You will be required to complete a design sketch with 3 views and a written explanation of how your piece represents the Golden Ratio. Your design must fit into a box that is 13 cm long by 8 cm wide by 8 cm tall. I must approve of your design. before you can turn it in. After you have completed the original design, you will complete your technology design. Your design sketch is due tomorrow.
