They will go on a 24" by 18" sheet of paper. You will use a scale factor of 1" to 2.5'. Your paper should have a 1/2" border around it with a 4" x 3" text box in the bottom corner. The final copy will be due at the end of class tomorrow. After we have completed the scale drawings we will adhere the drawing to a piece of cardboard and build a scale model of the room on the drawing.

Today we will begin learning about scale and scale drawing. In order to make accurate models of some part of your sustainable urban community you must understand scale and how to use it.
We will work through a couple of example and then working in teams you will measure the MakerSpace and the furniture in the MakerSpace and create a scale drawing of the floor plan of the room.

This will be a group project. I will place you in groups. Each group will be responsible for one of the safety list. It is your groups job to produce a safety video that conveys to the rest of the groups the things covered in your list. You will be graded on a rubric which I am attaching below. Safety Video Rubric 3rd Period Groups 4th Period Groups The final video will be due on Friday August 21st. Your group will have to turn in a storyboard for your video before you start filming. You will receive a classwork grade for your storyboard which you is due by the end of class today . The Video will count as a quiz grade and then we will take 4 multiple choice test Monday August. The tests will cover basic safety, hand tool safety, power tool safety and slips, trips, and falls. Remember that even though you are only making a video for one list you are responsible for knowing the information on all of the list.
